Wellbeing

Find out about how we support student wellbeing in our school.

Student wellbeing is a priority for us all. Our students are happy to come to school and it is important to create a safe and welcoming environment for our students to become the best they can be. We have wellbeing support programs for small groups of students as well as SLSOs assigned to support our students who need some time to self-regulate. The Principal in Supporting our Students Mental Health (SoSMH) program and our staff have all been trained, so they can be supportive and understanding to our students and their needs.

Additional learning support

Discover how we ensure every student feels safe and ready to learn, including those with disabilities and additional learning needs!

Our students across K-6 will receive learning support if needed. Some students will be supported in literacy through an explicit evidence based program MiniLit and MacqLit. Other students are involved in small group withdrawal sessions, as well as in class support. We also have selected groups of students who spend a short amount of time each week in a wellness group to support them to self regulate their emotions, remain calm and focused.
